Luckily, Dallas has a thriving running community, highlighted by the Dallas Marathon and the Cowtown Marathon just months apart in December and February.
It’s never too late to lace up your shoes and find the perfect run club for you.
Dallas Running Club
For 55 years, Dallas Running Club has been tearing up the streets of Dallas with group training programs ranging from 5Ks to marathons. Dallas Running Club’s annual membership is $40 and includes 5 free club races, signature race discounts, training, social events, and discounts to local retailers.
Oak Cliff Run Crew
Oak Cliff Run Crew (OCRC) is not a run club, but a run crew, don’t get it twisted. Running on Thursday nights at 7:00p and Sunday mornings at 7:00a, ORCR has multiple distances for runners at every level. Also, they have the best-looking gear around, which is the only reason we need to join.
Pint Striders
Pint Striders Run Club hits the roads and trails every Thursday at 6:30p starting at Tequila Social Dallas. With a run first, drink second mantra, Pint Striders has raffles and drinks for after-run fun. Pint Striders also receive discounts on races and gear.
Westlake Brewing
Westlake Brewing in Deep Ellum has taken over the Braindead run club and runs from Deep Ellum to Klyde Warren, Katy Trail, Uptown, and Old East Dallas. Catch them on Monday nights at 6:30p starting at Westlake Brewing, where they’ll have anyone from Lululemon to Fleet Feet hanging out.
